Dr. Portia Deloache Key

Veterinarian

Dr. Portia has been a veterinarian for the past 12 years with equine and small animal experience.  She got her Bachelors degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Clemson University and her Doctorate from Kansas State Vet School.  She has been a relief vet with the Ark for the past 2 years and also does relief work in Aiken, and Columbia, SC, also in Augusta GA.  In her spare time she loves to read and watch movies.  She has been married 6 years and has 2 dogs and 1 horse. 

Jackie, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician 

Jackie is a licensed veterinary technician. She graduated from Tri-County Technical College in May 2009 where she earned her Associates Degree with a Major in Veterinary Technology.  She has been a member of the South Carolina Association of Veterinary Technicians since 2009.  She is engaged, and has a son and daughter. She has 4 rescued cats, and 2 snakes (Colombian Red Tail Boa, and Western Hognose).  Every Sunday she attends worship at South Aiken Presbyterian Church where she sings soprano in the choir and performs occasionally performs with her Ukulele Fellowship group she teaches and leads there.  She loves to cover songs with her ukulele and guitar for her Instagram page, inline skate, hike, ski, paint and draw. She has been on board the Ark since Dec 2023. 

Staci 

Veterinary Technician

Staci is one of our veterinary Technicians and has been in the veterinary field for 10 years, and at the Ark Animal Hospital for 7 of those years. Staci lives with her husband and 4 dogs, 5 cats, 2 geckos and 1 bearded dragon. She also has 2 kids. In her spare time she likes online gaming, Magic the Gathering, anime, and listening to K-pop.

Glenda 

Veterinary Technician

Glenda is one of our veterinary Technicians and has been with the Ark Animal Hospital for 4 years.

Wendi

Receptionist

Wendi is our wonderful receptionist here at the Ark. She was a dog groomer for 12 years, a kennel manager for a year, an animal control officer for a year, and has now been with us going on 6 months. In her free time she loves spending time with her boyfriend, her 4 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 ball python snake. She also loves playing video games, anime, and cosplay. 

Julie Boan

Practice Manager

Julie is our practice manager and has been working at the Ark over the span of 40 years.  She is married and has 5 children and 11 grandchildren.  She loves spending time with her family and enjoys outdoor activities. She has multiple pets of which several are rescues.

Misty Hall

Office Manager

Misty is our office manager/owner of The Ark.  She has been with the Ark for 24 years.  She has 2 kids, 2 grandkids, 2 dogs, 2 ferrets and a koi pond.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, karaoke with friends, riding her motorcycle and deer hunting.
